Make a 12 month file. With Jan.-Dec. Keep all of your receipts!!!!!!! And bills. Or money order receipts. Each time you buy something add it to your caculations for that month and keep it in the month you bought whatever in it. When taxes need to be filed you'll have how much money you have spent in each month and the receipts. Some stuff can be deducted. Like cell phone bills and gifts to others and you have to have the receipts or money order receipts or checks to prove it.

Always have been. I was the annoying kid always trying to sell lemonade, a car wash, newspapers or lawn mowing services to the neighbors. My only real job was doing office admin work when I was 15. I needed to save up $1600 so I could buy a computer and start a web development business (it didn’t really bother me that I had no idea how to program, I’d learn that later.) ——— somehow i can relate to this post

Hi canion… Its fun to go back and look at the data sometimes.

Now I tend to just update once a month or so. Online banking tells me most of what I need to know. The only reason I really do it now is because it makes taxes/cap. gains super easy

I can relate to number two. I also am crazy for personal money management. I've been using Quicken for about 10 years, and still have the full data going back that far, but even before that, I was recording transactions in a journal. It started when I was about 10 years old, so that's 21 years of financial track record I'm carrying around. What a dork I am.

9. I love staying in bed and avoiding work as much as possible.

Strangely, I find I come up with ways to do fewer 'chores' and be more productive that way. Sometimes it's good to take a step back from your personal madness.
