I use binder clips to keep tubes of toothpaste and other creams rolled up tightly until they are gone. I even hang some of them on cup hooks inside my bathroom cabinet for quick access.

[...] Most store-bought (especially dollar-store-bought) “chip clips” kind of suck. They’re often awkward to fasten, the springs or plastic break much sooner than you’d hope, and, hey, a better solution is close at hand. The common binder clip’s taut pinch is enough to ensure that rolled-up munchies don’t come unfurled, and they’re sturdy as all get out. They’ll also do the same job with toothpaste. Photo by upsidedownsphere [via Cranking Widgets]. [...]

Good info. I regularly use binder clips to manage the cable line mess under my desk. I found a company that makes different colored clips so I can use the different colors to designate specific types of cables. For example, all my power cords utilize a red binder clip, etc. Saves money and words great too.

Great tips! I normally would like to see pictures of these uses illustrated, but fortunately the ones you described are fairly easy to get without having to look at pictures. =)

[...] Few things feel as disappointingly avoidable as finding a bag of tortilla, potato, or kettle chips completely crisp-less the morning after a party or pig-out session. This handy clip, however, shows how you can put an air-tight seal on your crunchy comestibles without having to get up for a clip (even the super-useful binder kind). [...]

I stopped using binder clips and switched to binder rings for my Hipster pda. Much much better, easier to use, the cards open like a book and slipping a card in/out does not need the whole pda to be disassembled.

Switch. You will be happier.
