My son has done this to several laptops, including my Sisters when she visiting.

I saw red for sure..

I can sympathize with you. It's awesome that Apple fixed you up, I have spend upwards of 85.00 to buy a new keyboard for my Sisters iBook when the keys got peeled.

The space bar is impossible to put back on FYI.
