Being the total and complete Google fanboy that I am, Google Maps is where I typically turn for all of my mappy needs. I realize there are tons of other options, but Google’s directions are pretty consistently accurate - plus the application is just easy and fun to use.
As I was mapping out a short drive I’ll be taking this evening (to a place I’ve never been), I noticed a little option to add a destination. So, curious, I added my house (where I’ll be going once I leave the original destination). Lo and behold, it appended the other destination to the end of the trip.
Why is this cool? Well, if you’re anything like me, you spend a good deal of time trying to invert the driving directions you printed out when it’s time to head home. See if this little thought process rings a bell:
“OK, so coming here I made a left on Foo Street, so that means I need to take a right on Bar Avenue… wait… crap…”
Now, for all I know, this feature has been around since the beginning and I’m just now joining the party like some kind of chump. Either way, this is a seriously cool little hack (if you can even call it that). Hooray for Google and intelligent interface design!

Didn’t you know you can click the little arrows between the two address fields to reverse them? That’s been around for quite awhile.
I didn’t know about this. What a fantastic tool, thanks for sharing.
