Quick Winstikker Update

Stikkit

Just a quick update regarding WinStikker (a little Windows desktop application I wrote to quickly and easily create new Stikkits from your desktop). One of the biggest requests (read: complaints ;) about it was the 500-character limit on the main input field. It was written this way because, per Stikkit’s documentation, the Stikkit engine will only process the first 500 characters of text that it receives.

But, a great many of you emailed me asking to remove this limitation, so I did.

You can download the new version here. Or, if you had previously checked out the source code using subversion (hooray for open source!), you can simply do:

svn up

to get the latest code, which includes this change. You will need to rerun the build script, though.

Speaking of free software, I’ve got a couple other little hacks I’ve been working on (one dealing with my new secretary – more on this very soon), so expect to see a bonafide software section coming soon to CW.
