Free Software: WinStikker Goes Open Source

Stikkit

Since posting WinStikker awhile back, I’ve had a few requests for the source code so people could monkey with it themselves. Well, ask and you shall receive.

This probably won’t interest most of you, but to all the C# hackers and stikkit enthusiasts out there, here it is. I’ve created a subversion repository and imported all of the source code needed to build the application, as well as a simple windows batch file to do the actual build.

In order to check out the current version, you can execute the following command:

svn co http://dev.crankingwidgets.com/winstikker winstikker

Then run the build.bat file to compile the application (assuming you have version 2 of the .NET framework installed). If all goes well, you won’t get any compiler errors and you’ll have a freshly-minted WinStikker.exe file in the same directory.

The repository is currently read-only (except by me, of course), but if anybody would like to contribute by adding features or making the code less crappy, just let me know and I’ll set you up with a login.

Oh, and this code is released under an open source license - take a look at the LICENSE file in the source tree for more information. Have a great weekend, folks!
